Best Practices For Reducing Storage Cost
Claire Rolland
Practice Lead, Storage and Availability Group, Symantec
With an average utilization of 35-40% organisations
aren’t making efficient use of the resources they’ve
already purchased. The answer to this challenge is both
technology and process focused. Because of budget freezes,
head count reduction and the like, now and in the immediate
future organisations need to get a “Return on Yesterday.”
ROY means that storage managers need to find
a way to take what they bought yesterday and get more
return out of it today. Claire will give insight as
to Symantec point of view and approach to tackling the
issue of storage costs in the modern Data Centre.
