MoReq is a model functional requirement for the management of electronic records that was published in April 2001.
- Background to the MoReq project and its objectives
- Electronic Record Management’s (ERMS) essential role in developing an e-business strategy.
Paul works in the IDA (Interchange of Data between Administrations) programme of DG Enterprise, European Commission, where he is responsible, among other things, for the MoReq project.

Electronic records management in UK central government - from vision to practice

This presentation will explain the aims of the Public Record Office's electronic records programme, putting it in the context of the drive towards electronic service delivery across the public sector. Elizabeth will explain the role of the PRO's specification of requirements for electronic records management, highlighting similarities and differences between it and MoReq. The PRO's standards and guidance on e-records are applicable beyond its immediate stakeholders in central government. The presentation will briefly explain the range of guidance available for use by other sectors.
