Elective Sessions

Improving efficiency and cost in the IT department
Corporate IT departments and professional services organisations are constantly looking for new ways to improve efficiency and reduce cost. For some time Professional Services Automation (PSA) has been acknowledged as a key tool to address these issues. What is it and how can it help my business? This session on PSA will review how it can help organisations in tough economic times and discusses the decision criteria to ensure the success of projects when considering PSA solutions.

Network Security: staking your corporate credibility on secure e-business?
Impending tough legislation on data protection will touch every e-business company. What is the potential impact on your network, your IT infrastructure, your business? Are you making the right decisions? Are you buying the most appropriate technology? Are you asking the right questions? AT&T network security specialist and international security standards guru Paul Jennings gives you the inside edge on the risks and issues to be aware of, including the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA). One of the industry's leading experts will guide you safely through a potential minefield for anyone involved in e-business.

CRM and Integration
Nothing creates customer disloyalty more than being asked to repeat themselves over and over again to different parts of the same business. Providing customer facing staff with all the right information often requires tight, rapid, seamless integration with your core backbone applications such as the supply chain, billing and accounts. This session looks in business terms at the technology landscape introducing terminology and understanding of the broad components and capabilities available today. Rounding up with the experiences and lessons learned over several case studies and highlighting the benefits accrued and discussing the key issues to be faced to ensure success!
