The future of CRM with hindsight - strategy, integration and adaptability
Thursday 14th March 2002, The Belfry, Wishaw, North

Recent research by vSente suggests that as few as 20% of CRM applications
come up to expectation. GartnerGroup claims the success rate in implementations
could be just 40% and, even then, it is further suggested that only 68%
of these apparently successful implementations remain in use longer than
12 months on average investments of £250,000 to £1m+.
Yet this relatively young area of development has widely acknowledged
potential for those who can get it right - retaining customers, gaining
customers, competitive advantage, market growth, profitability, to name
but a few.
So how do you maximise the benefits of a CRM strategy and its supporting
technology?
Fortunately, we now have some history to examine and can learn from
the early successes and failures with the benefit of hindsight, namely
20/20 vision.
